When you want to get up close and personal with the stars, check out this astronomers haven. Every Wednesday night with clear skies, the observatory is open to the public. The evening begins with a brief talk from Frank Sienkiewicz, the observatory curator, who will describe the celestial wonders in store for you. Then, take a gander at the moon, stars and planets through hi-tech telescopes.Admission is free.
