Summary of Purple Shamrock
A young crowd packs this bar near Faneuil Hall every weekend. The Purple Shamrock features live music every night and there is generally a cover charge in the $5 range on Thursday through Saturday. The food here is quite good;mdash;the menu includes a wide range of soups and salads and steak and seafood entrees. Meatloaf, Shepherds Pie and Chicken Pot Pie are listed among the Shamrocks specialty dishes as is Bangers and Mash, which is Irish sausages with mashed potatoes and Boston baked beans.
