Summary of Beacon Hill Walking Tour
The Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquities offers walking tours of Beacon Hill and they are a superb opportunity to learn the history of the area, which dates back to 1810. The tours of this historic neighborhood will give you a feel for how Bostonians lived centuries ago, both the wealthy residents who populated the area and working class residents of the North Slope. The tour also includes a visit to the magnificent federal-style Harrison Gray Otis House. Rates: Tours are $10 per person.
