"On a whim-induced weekend trip to Boston, we stumbled across Mike’s as we were exploring the Italian neighborhood and looking for a place for dinner. We got the clue that this was a popular stop based on the tremendous line snaking down the block and the seemingly endless number of bakery-box-clutching-people we kept passing on the street.
We made it a point to stop back the next morning, somehow able to beat the breakfast rush and find a table. Their counters house a staggering array of drool-worthy pastries and the variety of cannolis would send any borderline indecisive person into a tailspin. I recommend choosing a pastry of choice and getting a box of cannoli to go. The coffee is good and cheap. Staff somehow manage to be attentive to each patron’s needs despite the crowds. Pretty good cup of joe, especially for 99 cents."
