TinyMCE, Spellcheck and Ruby on Rails

Well – we’ve had the need for a spell checker for our blog, comment and review text areas for a while – we initially integrated FCKEditor but I found it’s interface a bit garish and it didn’t work in Safari at all so I went and took a look into TinyMCE again.   They have a very simple and nicely implemented (google gmail style) spellchecker that works as a plugin to the TinyMCE framework.

Finally!!

A blog about Springfield, MO

Wilco's coming to town Well in my almost 3 years in Springfield, I'm finally getting to go see a national act right there in town. Wilco is playing at the Shriner Mosque Auditorium (BTW, what are Shriner's anyway??). Gusto's new Gusto Grabber and how it's changed my life. First off I must say that I was one of the developers who wrote the gusto grabber code so it may appear that I have bias. The Gusto blog is a great way to keep a journal online. Gusto members can write detailed descriptions of trips, describe plans for an upcoming trip, tell everyone about their most recent adventures and more. The blog folder can be divided into subfolders to organize entries by trip or by topic.
