A Piece of Heaven on Earth

Had 6 nights and 7 days at this hotel, and I thought I'd died and gone to Heaven!! The Staff is incredibly helpful, sincerely happy to help you, and to be there, and wonderfully intelligent. The Room was fabulous...KING Size bed, 42" Plasma TV, separate sitting area with Sofa and Table, large Bathroom with a TUB (!!!); Beautiful woods used for all the furniture, gorgeous fabrics on the bed and the very-Venetian-shaped windows...all in all, a Glamorous place! The SKY BAR, on the rooftop, is like a fantasy place...you can see what seems to be all of Venice from there...GREAT Cocktails and noshes... Located on the smaller Island of Giudecca, it is a very romantic and peaceful place...however, when you're ready to "roll", the Hotel has a FREE vaporetto to the "mainland" (!!) of Venice...the ride is all of 10 minutes long, I'd say...incredible convenience. Wonderful Restaurant, went there for Breakfast each morning...so much food, at the Buffet, you will not need to eat again until dinnertime!! Luscious, too, from toast and eggs to smoked salmon and fresh cheeses, to sweet rolls and danish to potatoes and stewed tomatoes...Very efficient staff... Building used to house a Grain Mill, and was only somewhat recently refurbished, modeled on a kind of "castle" architecture...the hotel has only been in operation for about a year now... Did NOT want to leave!!!
