Branson Missouri
"If you love entertaining shows and something that the entire family can go to... this is the place to go!!
ALL of the shows in Branson are for the entire family. They also serve no alcohol at any of the shows and most of the eatting establishments do not either. The Yakov show was awesome! We would see him again if we ever went back! The Dixie Stampede was not as exciting as we thought it was going to be but it was still good. We paid $229.00 for a family of five with front row prime seats on the curve for the Northern side, a huge meal consisting of a cornish chicken, pork loin slice, corn on the cob, baked potatoe, soup, biscuit, an apple turnover and unlimited drinks. Not to bad! Kirby and Bambi's Magic show was OK but our family liked the Hamner and Barber variety show the best... it was awesome... it has a bit of everything in it for everyone.... Magic, acting, singing, dancing, bird show and the Jim Barber ventriloquist act is AWESOME!! The kids could not stop laughing at the skit with "Jim and Baby (his puppet)." Very awesome show! The Acrobats of China is a very good show, too. It is amazing the things they can do! To pile 5 kitchen chairs in different angles on top of each other and then balance with one hand on the back of the top one, AMAZING! The kids liked this show the best, too.
And a trip on the Branson Ducks are a MUST!! I would say do this the first day you are there because they give you lots of info on the best shows and places to eat during the tour. If you have ever been on the Ducks in the Wisconsin Dells, Branson Ducks are nothing like them! They are both unique and different in thier own ways. We almost did not go on them because we ride them all the time in Wisconsin. It amazed us that there are two cities buried under Lake Tablerock!!! If you have a paddys license you can go scuba diving and see some of the buried cities. They rent all the equipment at the Marina. It is a must to go to the Shepard of the Hills Theater for their nightly show!! Horse back riding there is a must too! It is an awesome trail they take you on... its like not really being on one! It is $20.00 per person to ride.
I don't know about the cost of lodging. We stayed in our condo Branson On the Meadows with Wyndham . I do know that they rent the condos out there to people and that would be the way to go so you can cook some of your meals. You can pick up a breakfast buffet for $4.99 every morning at different places around town.
It was a great vacation to Branson! June 14th through the 21.
We will be going back I am sure!
