Probably better since I stayed...

kjochims28's rating:

"I stayed at this hotel a year or two ago in a suite on the top level. A room key was needed to get on the top level in the elevator, and while staying, we shared the floor with country super star Brad Paisley, which added to the experience. The room was spacious and comfortable, however, the furnishings and carpeting were showing wear. Our room was fully stocked including some comfortable bath robes. The breakfast was good, nothing outstanding but was satisfying enough so that we didn't have to go out into the Branson madness and try and find a good restaurant. Staff was very friendly, helpful and patient. (While checking in I was trying to control a situation over the phone and they were very nice about it.) Location is phenomenal, close to everything exciting in Branson, but tucked away a bit so you don't feel all the hustle and bustle. Overall I was pleased."

Great staff, improving hotel

Reviewed by Jools on February 07, 2007

Jools' rating:

"If this were a normal review, I’d say that this Radisson is adequate but needs updating: The upholstery, bedding and furniture are really showing their age, as is the carpet in the hallways. But this isn’t a normal review. I stayed here during an ice storm a few weeks ago, as did hundreds of people who left Springfield and the surrounding area when the ice storm knocked out power for tens of thousands of people. The staff here went out of their way to help people adjust to their temporary home away from home. The hotel doesn’t normally allow pets, but during the ice storm, people were allowed to bring their dogs, which was a huge relief to me, because I didn’t want to leave my dog at a kennel and worry about the kennel losing power. They also let us check in several hours before normal check-in time. The porters, who were busy all day and into the evening, were extremely helpful and very friendly. And the hotel had Wi-Fi throughout, which meant I could work from the there; that was great. The good news for this place is that it’s in the process of renovating its rooms, so soon the hotel will be as nice as its staff. "
