"No trip to Columbia, Missouri is complete without a burger at Booches -100 S. 9th St, regionally famous for Booche burgers served on waxed paper. Booche's is actually an old pool and billards hall. Open the door and be overwhelmed with the aroma of history and great hamburgers. The cook resides just inside the front door, right there in plain view...cookin' burgers & hot dogs. Several pool, billard and snooker tables fill the back of the small, ancient room which opened in the early 1900's. Seating is available at the bar and tables at the front of the establishment. Pool tables are reserved for those 18 years of age and older. TVs will be set on University of Missouri sports or Cardinal Baseball, depending upon the season. Great atmosphere!!"

"With a huge menu containing a few select food items posted on the wall above the seating area, Booche's restaurant in Columbia, MO is one not to miss. Their fabulous burgers are just bigger than a silver-dollar, and are quite a treat. Rated as one of the best down-home dining in the world by USA Today, Booche's serves the burgers on wax paper. The restaurant has descent seating, plenty of pool tables, and a good staff. If dropping by or driving through Columbia, MO, this is one place to stop and enjoy what this college town has to offer."

"Cheeseburger with grilled onions, a bowl of red (chili) and a bottled Bud...no better lunch in the world. This was a regular stop in the early '80's when I attended Mizzou and still is when I'm in town for business or Tigers football."

"this is CoMo’s most beloved restaurant. everyone loves it for the fantastic little burgers. seriously, they are delish. you’ll find old townies, frat boys from mizzou, couples on dates…everyone. it’s right downtown, so it’s a great place to eat dinner before going out or grab lunch while you’re shopping."

"I love this place! They have those precious little baby burgers with a flavor that packs a punch. The atmosphere is perfect. Cool old bar in front and pool tables in back. The bathrooms only house a toilet and there is a little tiny sink across the room to wash your hands (although the soap is always funky)."
