Disgustingly Filthy

Reviewed by arnoname on July 28, 2010

arnoname's rating:

"Dates of stay: July 7-8, 2010 * Filthy Room Carpet - After about 2 minutes of walking on the carpet in our room with clean white cotton socks, the bottoms of our socks were so brown with dirt from the carpet, the soles looked like chocolate milk. * There were old cigarette butts that peppered just outside the lobby entrance and surrounding area. By "old", I mean these had been there for weeks without being picked up. * The signature "Microtel" rug just inside the lobby entrance was worn so much the embroidered "Microtel" name on it's surface was barely discernible. It was filthy as well. * An area rug just behind the front desk and just inside the doorway to front desk's adjoining office was visibly filthy. * There was clutter such as wooden pallets and other large junk were piled up and leaning against the wall near the rear center entrance to the hotel. Just above this clutter was a window to a storage room. There were cardboard boxes piled helter skelter from the floor to just below the top of the window. * The hotel's industrial garbage bin had several large sacks of garbage and large debris piled around the outside of the bin and the bin itself was full. It is apparent that they must be cutting corners and having their garbage service only pick up once a month.. or hauling it off themselves every month or so. * The hotel’s TV dish is mounted at he peak of the entrance portico’s roof with 4-6 cinder blocks reminiscent of a Red Neck engineering job.
