"This used to be an excellent place to see great blues and jazz musicians, both well known and up and coming. I saw Harry Connick Jr. play here before he was famous, and he was excellent. Now the great musicians passing through this place are few and far between. The new owners have a lot of unknown and fairly untalented rock and hip-hop acts playing here now. Nothing wrong with either genre, they just need to bring in better artists. It's a shame that a Kansas City institution is gone and only the name remains."
