"If you are visiting Springfield, MO, crosstown is the best place for BBQ. Some locals will tell you Buckingham’s is the way to go, but I assure you it doesn’t hold a candle to Crosstown. Although, I’ve had better BBQ in two of the best cities (KC and Memphis) nothing comes close in Springfield. The owner is always working and makes everyone feel like a regular. If you can’t decide what you want, ask for a recommendation and you might even get a free taste. Fresh cut french fries are also outstanding."

"Venture over to the North Side for some finger lickin good food. This place lost a little of it’s charm with the remodel but the BBQ is some of the best in Springfield. The ribs are the bomb! Best customer service in town."

"You’ll always feel like a regular at Crosstown BBQ. The proprietor Steve Williams is probably one fo the friendliest jovial people in the world. He also happens to make some fantastic bbq. On my most recent visit I had a great slab of wet spicy pork ribs. The big end. Very good cole slaw too."
