"Somebody should’ve checked “locally famous” for this joint. The Mudhouse has been around awhile now (since before the onslaught of Starbucks, even) and is a by-God downtown institution, having played a big role in its renaissance.
The food’s budget priced with a little healthy, gourmet flair to it. A big fat sandwich + a big fat salad (or soup) all for $6 or so. That includes all the crazy toppings you could ask for, plus choice of a variety of breads. They do wraps, too.
A good place to hang out most anytime, but Friday nights are to be avoided. Unless, that is, you’re 18 or so, like to stand in line, fight for a seat, and shout to be heard. It’s frikkin bedlam."
