Summary of St Louis Science Center

Though this free museum’s exhibits and installations are geared toward younger visitors, visitors who have been out of school for a few years will undoubtedly find something to spark their interest in the St. Louis Science Center. A comprehensive and tasteful selection of exhibits leads visitors through various disciplines of science, culminating with a glass-enclosed path suspended above the highway below, complete with radar sensors to measure approaching cars’ speed. It’s a fitting follow-up to the display that focuses on architecture, particularly the hands-on arch building stations. In addition to the dizzying highway bridge and exhibits that include life-size animated dinosaurs and journeys inside the human body, you’ll find the McDonnell Planetarium nearby, which offers Space Training Missions to adults and children for a small fee. Outside the planetarium is a science park that mixes playground fun with edification. When your feet get tired, sit back in the OMNIMAX® theater and take in a fascinating movie on the theater’s remarkable wraparound screen. Admission to the St. Louis Science Center is free, but the knowledge you’ll gain is invaluable.
