"I was on a recent business trip in St. Louis and this downtown joint was suggested by several of the locals. I had a VERY salty veal parmigiana with a house salad. Although it was still edible it would have been MUCH better, dare I say GREAT without the salt overdose. I thought that perhaps my dish was alone in the sodium overload but several of my associates complained of the same problem. Aside from all the extra salt, the atmosphere WAS fun, the wait staff never rushed us and we spent another hour after our meal socializing without ordering anything except a drink or two. The pricey dinner menu doesn’t really need to be pricey (one person in my group paid 15.99 for chicken marsala that had only four sad little green beans as the vegetable side, pathetic) but then again this is a downtown favorite of the locals that is securely rooted in the business and entertainment district. I might try this place again in the future based soley on the great atmosphere."
