I go to Fitz’s for my root beer and cheeseburger fix. This restaurant is in the middle of the Delmar Loop (cool area of St. Louis with thrift stores, cool bars, coffee shops, unique shops…you get the picture). It has a sort of industrial feel, with tall ceilings and cement walls. One wall is a window looking into the root beer tanks for bottling (just like they have at microbreweries). The waiters are cool and not just concerned with getting you in and out. The food is great, cheeseburgers right on, and the prices are right. The root beer float for dessert always keeps my belly happy throughout the evening.
