Beatrice, NE Summary

Beatrice is located 38 miles south of Lincoln on US-136. Gage County Historical Museum, in the 1906 Burlington Depot, has permanent exhibits on the county’s industries, medical and dental history, and citizens, such as movie actor Robert Taylor. The Beatrice Big Blue Water Park is popular in summer. Two miles south of nearby Filley is the largest limestone barn in the state, built in 1874. Rockford Lake State Recreation Area, 7 miles east of Beatrice, centers around a 150-acre lake with 286 acres of land.
