Amsterdam

Crowded, but nice!
"I really liked Amsterdam, but it was SO crowded- even in October! It’s become such a big tourist destination (especially with young people attracted to the liberal laws of The Netherlands- meaning they want to smoke pot! I didn’t get the sense that the place was lawless or everyone was a druggie, by any means- I’m just saying that because the city is so famous, it attracts a lot of people!). & it’s a big city, so there are a lot of Dutch people there, too, of course! & it seemed like all of them wanted to run me down with their bikes! They were quite beautiful, though, so it might have been worth it! Amsterdam is a really nice city, with lots to do and see, nice architecture, and beautiful canals. There are tons of cafes (and of course coffee shops- totally different!) and small restaurants. The city is very diverse, so there are a lot of different cultures mixed in. It’s a great place for sightseeing and doing things, not so great for relaxing and resting!

Amsterdam

Holland in a nutshell
"Amsterdam is the capital of the Netherlands as well as the capital of tulips, coffeeshops, bicycles, and canals. One of the most unique cities I have ever visited. Don’t miss Vongel park and the Van Gogh Museum.

Tulip Capital
"If you are going for your first visit to Amsterdam, Consider taking a city tour. You can start your tour from the Artis; this is a complex of Zoo, Zoological Museum, Children’s farm and play station and also a Planetarium. You can also take a walk in the Botanical garden & park named, Hortus Botanicus which is one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. Anyone on Amsterdam should not miss to visit the Tulip field and farms Because of the lovely tulips. Amsterdam is also known as the tulip capital.
