Lamoille, NV Summary

Twenty miles south of Elko, along Hwy 227, is the picturesque community of Lamoille, nestled in the basin of the lofty Ruby Mountains. From its summit lookout can be seen the massive ranches in the valley and numerous hiking trails, which are often dusted in a blanket of snow. By winter, the Ruby Mountains are transformed into the ultimate thrill center where Heli-Skiing has become a popular yet expensive sport. The more sociable Swisher’s General Store is the perfect place to browse and recover.
