The Impressionists sought to capture the beauty of light and color in a multidimensional, linear way. From morning to night, the atmosphere, energy, and color of the Bellagio evolve much like the swirling pinpoints of light on an Impressionist canvas. Begin your day beneath the soft, ambient light of the spa, and close it out under the pulsing lasers of Light. A Continental penchant for fine art is reflected in the Bellagio’s quasi-Italian theme. In the Gallery of Fine Art, you can see the inspiration in paintings by Monet, Cezanne, Van Gogh, and more. Find yourself immersed in morning tranquility, as in a Monet waterscape; as the day progresses, you’ll find nightlife that can be compared to a bacchanal worthy of Toulouse-Lautrec. Through it all, touches of European elegance keep you feeling serene. From the conservatory with a hundred-year-old fountain to the lobby’s lovely blown-glass floral sculpture, the Bellagio aims for a quiet decadence. This decadence is equally apparent in the oversize rooms. Slip into the generously sized tub and let the cares of the day wash away. Marble floors, perfumed soap, and exquisite linens create the feel of a European luxury hotel. The theme is carried through most beautifully in its pool area. Composed of six different pools, your own personal Roman Holiday will take shape when you lounge in front of fountains and columns that Sophia Loren would approve of. If the Italianate visuals aren’t enough for you, close your eyes and listen as the delicate strains of Neapolitan arias cause you to mistake the pool for the softly lapping waters of the Adriatic.

Bellagio's the best

Reviewed by beccalosangeles on June 30, 2008

beccalosangeles' rating:

"I’ve been to Vegas a few times, and the best placed I have stayed at was the Bellagio. Although I might be biased because I got married there, the Bellagio is really a nice hotel. It is a bit more expensive than the others but it’s worth it. There’s an art museum and a really great buffet. For lunch, it is very reasonably priced at $25 dollars per person. And if you go a half an hour before dinner, you can get in at lunch price and eat prime rib for very cheap. As for the rooms, the standard rooms are very nice and elegant. I was upgraded for free to a suite for my wedding and it was truly amazing. My family had the regular rooms and even those were nice. If Bellagio is too expensive for you, the Luxor is pretty nice. I like theme and the rooms are decently priced. There is also a great buffet for cheap and it has every type of food you can think of. "

The Best of Vegas

Reviewed by Diz8i8 on January 17, 2007

Diz8i8's rating:

"This is by far my favorite place to stay while in Vegas. The Bellagio is located in the center of the strip and it is not difficult to get out of the casino and get on the actual strip (Yeah I’m looking at you Caesar’s Palace). The rooms are beautifully appointed and well kept and the service is excellent from the front desk, to the wait staff, to the maid service, to the guards at the elevators. The Mediterranean pools are set in gorgeous courtyards and include stone fountains which really set the mood for quiet relaxation. I’ve never had trouble getting a chair, or a drink while tanning between laps. There are many restaurants to choose from including Le Cirque, Picasso and Prime and the famous Bellagio buffet! I have never been disappointed when eating at the Bellagio. I would also suggest their full service Spa which is located directly off of the indoor botanical gardens (season displays are not to be missed) and their featured Cirque du Soleil show “O”. And of course you’ve heard about the fountains, the best free show in Vegas! The one thing I have not enjoyed at Bellagio is the actual casino. I have by far had the worst run of luck there, but I guess that is why they call it gambling!"

Bellagio's Crown Jewel

Reviewed by folashade on January 11, 2007

"The common areas of the Bellagio are what, in my opinion, really set this hotel apart. Even the lobby of the hotel is a work of art, with thousands of hand-blown flowers on the ceiling. The Jean-Philippe Patisserie has a fountain of chocolate and delectable crepes, The crowning glory of the Bellagio, however, is the Conservatory which changes four to five times a year. This is truly an assault on the senses. Beautiful greenery, flowers, and fountains arranged in intricate designs are breathtaking"

Bellagio Rooms

Reviewed by folashade on January 11, 2007

folashade's rating:

"had high hopes when I checked into the Bellagio in March of this year. I had long admired the gorgeous conservatory and enjoyed eating at many of their restaurants over the years. I recall that when the Bellagio first opened, if you looked slightly confused, someone from their staff would come over and personally direct to your destination. People who stayed raved about the spa and the customer service. Whenever I traveled to Vegas, I would take the time to visit the conservatory and watch the water show that still fascinated me several years later. Imagine my dismay after checking into this acclaimed hotel and being slightly letdown. I expected the rooms to be slightly smaller, so that was not the issue. The room was a bit dark for my taste. There were dark furnishings, the duvets were dark, and all of the marble in the bathroom was dark. The armoire was a dark wood and contained a large TV, as well as a minibar. The room arrangement left the desk chair with barely enough space to sit since there wasn’t enough space to push it back because the bed was in the way. At around 11pm, I decided to order room service only to find that room service ended at 10:30pm, but was informed I could eat at their 24-hour café. A hotel of this caliber should have room service 24 hours. The café is simply too small for a hotel the size of the Bellagio. They do have some great restaurants, but they are simply too small, and no matter what time you went the café or some of the smaller places, like Palios, the lines were long and slow. The pool area is nice, spacious area with a Mediterranean look and feel. This is a hotel that is meant for sitting and relaxing. All done in white, with lush greenery and fountains interspersed throughout, it made you want to linger in a deck chair and relax until late in the afternoon. Check-in was fairly quick, with the staff friendly and efficient. This was also the fastest I have ever gotten a car out of valet in Vegas. The Bellagio is also in a great location, right in the center of the Strip."

You have got to see the dancing waterfalls!

Reviewed by sassylaurie on December 26, 2006

"Okay, here’s the deal, when you go, I believe it’s every half an hour that the music starts playing, and the water starts gushing. Make sure not to miss a beat. They play some classical music, then all of a sudden, these water beams start dancing to the music by sound activation perhaps. Whatever it is, you can see these water beams daning from one side of the hotel to Vegas. Also, there’s an underground tram that leads you from the Bellagio over to the Ventetian. Different hotels have free trams that take you to other hotels, which is pretty cool."
