"This hotel has a great location. It’s in the middle of the strip, walking distance from many great casinos. If you only need a place to sleep, this is a great deal."

Imperial Palace ups and downs

Reviewed by stjolee on October 23, 2006

stjolee's rating:

"Here is a quick rundown on Imperial Palace in Las Vegas where we stayed about a month ago. Great location on the strip with many other casinos within walking distance. Rooms adequate. (Who spends much time in the room in Las Vegas.) Food is nothing special. Casino is large and features dealers who dress and imitate famous people such as Dolly Parton, Elvis, the Blues Brothers, etc. They can be quite entertaining. However the elevator service is abominable. The Imperial Palace must have the worst system in Vegas. The elevators are slow, small and few. On the lower floors 10 to 15-minute waits are frequent. On a separate note if you like good, inexpensive buffets, try the Paradise Buffet in the Fremont downtown."

Imperial Palace - It's smack in the middle of the Strip -- it doesn't get any more centrally located than this, and now there's even a monorail stop right out back -- and on a weekend night when rooms at nicer hotels are running $400 (that's for a regular room), lodgings can be had here for under $60.
