"This is one of my favorite places in Las Vegas. Like everything else there, it’s overpriced, but it’s one of the most lovely aquariums you’ll ever see. Don’t miss the petting pool, where you can touch baby sharks and stingrays (it’s perfectly safe.)"

"What a giant saltwater reef is doing in the middle of a desert is beyond me, but hey, it’s Vegas. The Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay is pretty darn spectacular, and it’s not just sharks that will make you think twice about what’s lingering just below your feet as you’re swimming in the ocean. There are also eels, poisonous fish, crocodiles and more. You walk through these glass tunnels with the water all around you, which is really neat. Don’t miss the touch tank, where you can pet a stingray and a baby shark. The kids will love it, although if they’re really small, they could be a little frightened by the sharks, so keep that in mind."
