Tangerine is no longer just a fruit or the name of a really good Led Zeppelin song. It’s Treasure Island’s hot new club, a tantalizing mix between a lounge and a club. You can dance to rock and hip-hop spun by guest DJs or lounge in chiffon-draped booths and watch the burlesque dancers strip from evening clothes to lingerie. The club’s retro vibe stems in part from the fact that they have burlesque dancers in the first place, and in part from the decor. Lighting is subdued and filtered through peachy-colored fabric, giving the place a warm citrus glow. The dancers are accompanied by a jazz trio, and they emerge several times each night. If you need a breather, head out onto the outdoor deck that overlooks the pirate-themed show Sirens of TI. A separate outdoor bar provides all the mojitos you can drink while you wait for the next showing of the dancers. Although Tangerine is smaller than most other Vegas lounges, its intimate atmosphere is perfect for small groups. Grab a booth, reserve a bottle and let merriment ensue.
