If you don’t feel like shelling out the $15 to tour Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at the Mirage Hotel, you can still get up close and personal with some wildlife at the White Tiger Habitat. Free to the public, the attraction sits near the hotel’s main entrance and serves as home to one or two tigers at a time during their off-hours from the Secret Garden. The habitat, which you can view through a giant window of glare-free glass, has been fitted with fountains, man-made “mountain terrain” and a pool. The White Tiger Habitat’s almost entirely white atmosphere, designed to replicate snow, enables the tigers to better blend into their habitat, apparently giving them a more secure feeling. Who knew tigers were so insecure?

Cute, large tigers

inversed's rating:

"Cute, white, fluffy tigers. Not nearly as crowded as the MGM lions exhibit, although somewhat difficult to find at first (follow the signs)."

"Worth walking past if you happen to be in the Mirage, anyway. But I wouldn’t make a special trip to see it."
