The House of Blues calls the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino home. This is the place for live music in Vegas, a favorite among locals and tourists alike. The club recreates a down-home bayou feel; the tin and wood wall coverings (as well as the blues memorabilia lining the walls) are intended to make you feel like you’re in the deep South. The headliners here are big-name; Bob Dylan started it off, and the performers range from traditional blues artists to mainstream rock to spoken word.

Quick, cheap, and good food

"We had a 2 for 1 coupon from one of the free coupon books. Did breakfast here on Wed morning. Completely empty restaurant, except for 2 or 3 other tables. Nice watress, edible food, good prices. Plus it’s in the Mandalay Bay hotel"

RESTAURANT AND SHOW

"Saw Charlie Daniels at the theater which was a great place to watch a show. Had seats in the center of the balcony good sound and sight line. It seems that some seats on the left or right might be tough to see the stage. Drinks $16 + each. Ooch! Prior to the show went to the restaurant. Food was tasty but not ample. The place and help were dull. Nobody was having fun or enjoying themselves but were efficient. I got the feeling that nobody liked working there. It should have a Mardi Gras feel. "

"This place is freakin’ awesome. We scored some tickets to a Killers show, which rocked. Didn’t bother eating at the restaurant part, just saved my money for booze because that seemed to cost a pretty penny at this joint. The show rocked and the floor was packed. We were up on the balcony and had a killer view of the band and all of the hot chicks dancing. The sound was great too. This is for sure the best place in Vegas to catch a show. House of Blues rocks."
