"When you eat at a casino there is usually one thing you can never get away from… the casino. That includes the high end restaurants. No matter how thick the door is, when it opens you will hear the buzzing, binging, laughing, shouting sounds Vegas. But I expect when you come to DINE, and I mean DINE at a place like Isis the last thing you want is to hear the penny machine ask you to stop on by and try your luck. So the beauty of Isis and perhaps the first thing you notice is that the dining room is quiet. To enter you must either take a short elevator or climb a set of stairs that lead to the top two restaurants at the Luxor: Isis and the Sacred Sea Room. Well furnished and windowless. Isis is as good at a trip to the spa in terms of relaxing from the Vegas buzz. I’ve talked about ambiance, but the food is what really counts isn’t it? Isis doesn’t disappoint. It may not be attached to a Food Network chef, but you can’t deny the quality. This is upper echelon folks; the kind of place that brings out lemon sorbet between meals to cleanse the palate. I proposed to my wife here, and I still can’t think of a place I would have rather gone. One special recommendation. If you are on a romantic night out, try the Chateau Briand. Serves two, and it is the finest steak you’ll ever have. Isis is a personal favorite, and I know that if I’m looking to spend on a fine, romantic dinner there is no where else I’d rather go."
