Summary of Nobu
There are twelve outposts of Nobu in the world. It is worth traveling to New York, London, Tokyo, Malibu, Dallas, Miami and Las Vegas to eat at each one of them. Chef Nobu Matsuhisa has redefined high quality Asian food, and he’s set the bar high. The five-page menu proudly boasts Nobu’s specialities, sushi and spicy sashimi. An oft-praised dish is the black cod with miso served in a lettuce cup. Order a la carte, or trust the chef and let him dazzle you with his creation of the day. If you absolutely must have meat, the Kobe beef carpaccio is out of this world. The Asian-themed setting features plenty of bamboo and soft lines, a welcome relief from the fast-paced outside world. The birch trees and seaweed wall underscore the natural tones of the color palette, copied from the TriBeCa Nobu (of which Robert DeNiro is a part-owner). The larger-scale motif of the black rock wall is re-created in miniature at each table, with a black rock on which to place your chopsticks.
