Pizza and people-watching are among the principle delights of a visit to Spago, the first Vegas territory claimed by the Wolfgang Puck empire. The patio seating offers such an ideal view of the wealthy and the wannabes mingling on the cobblestone walkways of the Forum Shops that some guests have dined at Spago for years and never actually been inside the place. This mecca for modern California cuisine offers an array of spicy and colorful items, served in a warm decor of marble, wood and rattan. Specialties include the famed duck sausage pizza, Sonoma lamb tacos with tomato salsa and ginger-crusted salmon, but it’s tough to go wrong with anything at Spago – even the meat loaf tastes more like beef bourguignon.

"We had a great meal here. Spago is located at THE FORUM SHOPS AT CAESARS in Las Vegas. The restaurant behind the cafe is beautiful, quiet and relaxing, the wait staff is very friendly and very eager to please. They treated my husband and myself like royalty, they made us feel special. We started our meal off by sharing a Garden Tomato and Burrata Cheese Cipollini Onions, Tomato Vinaigrette, and Aged Balsamic 14.00, my husband ordered Rotisserie Pork Loin at 36.00, I ordered Seared Yellowfin Tuna at 33.00 both meals were delicious. Was it a little pricy, slighty, did we enjoy it, absoutely, was it what we expected and worth the price, yes! A few days later we decided to have lunch in the cafe we shared a Margharita Pizza with Garden Tomatoes, Goat Cheese, and Fresh Basil 12.00 and a Caesar Salad with Creamy Garlic Dressing, Focaccia Croutons, and Parmesan Cheese 12.00 for a lunch in Vegas to us that was reasonable. "This was such a fun restaurant to stop off an have a pizza while shopping at the Forum at Caesar’s Palace. We knew Wolfgang Puck was an owner and that fact alone intrigued us. We ate on the “sidewalk cafe” section, which allows for some interesting sights while dining. Hundreds of people may pass by throughout the course of one meal, browsing and shopping. The food was also interesting, with many options for vegetarians. We had a grilled vegetable pizza with basil pesto, ricotta cheese, and pinenuts. It was tasty but not off the charts. I think the experience was lessened by the lethargic performance of our waiter. We definitely felt unimportant and unloved. After a bottle of wine, though, we no longer cared, and were off to FAO Schwarz."
