Enter the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian, and it’s as if you’re transported to the heart of Italy. Watch street performers, or smile as you’re serenaded while walking down authentic cobblestone walkways. It’s easy to forget you’re not really in Venice (although the clean-smelling canal here is a welcome change from the real thing). For a romantic glimpse of Italy, hop on board a gondola and glide serenely down the canals. Scheduled shows of classically trained opera singers and Carnevale street performers give you an excuse to sit and rest. The shops consist mainly of mid- and upper-mid level brands offering clothing, shoes, jewlelry and handbags. Let BCBG Max Azria and Kenneth Cole outfit you for the evening, then stop at Jimmy Choo and Mikimoto for the finishing touches. Lladro figurines and Davidoff cigars are great ways to spend your earnings from the casino. Other attractions of note include Madame Tussaud’s, where you can snap your photo next to George Clooney or Ben Affleck. Why aren’t they blinking? Spellbound, no doubt, by the beautiful people coming into Vivid, the Venetian’s uber-chic club located on the second floor of the Shoppes complex.

"Great experience whether you go in a single shop or not. Watching the gondolas gently glide along the canal, often with singing gondoliers, is an experience unto itself. A lot of good shopping, many flavors of gelato available at a central vendor. Not to be missed."

Cute place

"The stores are good, but it’s the atmosphere of the place that’s the real draw. It’s like a stage set of Venice, complete with a canal and singing gondaliers. If you walk all of the way back through the mall, you’ll find a little area they call St. Mark’s Square where costumed singers perform scenes from operas all afternoon, giving way to classical instrumentalists at night."

The Gondola ride is a must do in Las Vegas!

"If you go down aways past the first vendors, you will come to a shop that sells the gondola tickets for half off the price if you do the outside ride only, which is still the main part of your experince of being in a gondola. This was the first time ever I was in a Gondola, and although there were two other people from Sacramneto in my gondola, when they took the picture, it looked like it was just me and the Venetian Gondola driver. It was very peaceful, trauil, and quiet the scenery. picture traveling through a live shopping center and seeing hundreds of people walking. The experience, priceless! i would highly suggest this attraction,a nd I would go back again for a nother one. Try this ride with someone you really like or are in love with. It can be very romantic."
