Spectacular red sandstone makes this a scenic desert wonder. This State Park has been a Nevada landmark since the 1930s, and is home to many desert animals. On the cave walls you will see Indian petroglyphs, still remarkably preserved after hundreds of years of erosion from dust and wind. The drive is just over 50-miles northwest of Las Vegas, and at sunset produces a memorable photographic opportunity. Check with the visitor center for details of the park, as well as souvenirs.
