Beautiful nature, tacky casinos!
"I live about an hour and a half west of Reno, so I know a lot of people who’ve been here, and I’ve been here a few times. The main reasons why people go here are to gamble and/or get married. There are a lot of flashy casinos and small wedding chapels, and that’s all most people every see. I had a friend who went to the University of Nevada, Reno, which has a nice campus. There is more to the town than the strip, so try to see a bit more if you visit! There is some beautiful nature in the area, which is great for hiking in the summer and cross-country skiing in the winter.
