Six Flags Of Doom

Reviewed by Tyeema on June 26, 2008

Tyeema's rating:

"Sixx Flags is not always THE greatest place to go. I've been there many of many of times and eac time I'm only able to get on 5 or 6 rides because of the overwhelmingly long lines. Usually its extremely hot and the food is overpriced. I wouldn't recommend anyone go here."

average park, awesome coasters

Reviewed by mrsthedke on December 06, 2006

mrsthedke's rating:

"This park really is average when it comes to amusement parks. It is very spread out, there is no direct route around the park and it is overly expensive. You often end up retracing your steps a million times to find a ride you want to go on and then you find one of 2 problems. The ride either has a LONG line or it is shut down. It has been my expirience that half the rides are closed on any given day and even the ones that are open are subject to closure at any time.If you go on the right day (last time I went there was rain in the area, it rained early in the day, but the sun came out and it was nice) then the lines aren’t that bad. Most people go right for the bigger and newer rides first off so wait until after 8 at night (or RUN to them first thing) to go on El Toro and Kingda Ka. You can save the Batman rides, Medusa, Nitro and all for later on. Those lines usually aren’t as bad.A few more tips…Parking is expensive!!! It is 15 bucks to park a car in the regular lot.Food is expensive!!! Eat at the places outside the park on the main drag….. Also, along the same lines, get a refillable souvineer cup for soda (like 10 bucks) and refill it throughout the day. The refills are a dollar and it works out WAY cheaper than just buying individual drinks. (a group of 8 shared 2 of them through a day)Get gas on the main drag. Six Flags has a gas station on the property, but the gas is a lot more expensive than it is just down the street from the main entrance to the parking lot.Although it isn’t the best layout and a lot of the rides are frequently closed, the rides that remain open are aslmost worth the price of admission and the hour or more (or much more) wait in line."

Would have been fun

Reviewed by lrintex on December 06, 2006

lrintex's rating:

"Pleae leave your guns at home. When we traveled all the way across country to go here my other family member was arrested. They have metal detectors at the entrance and we were unaware of this until after the fact….so needless to say we were there for only a bit and had to go bail him out. It looked really fun though!"
