This Upper West Side hotel, opened in 1999, is located in a tranquil neighborhood, away from the bustle of Midtown but still within easy commuting distance. And while you are in this area, you can visit the American Museum of Natural History, Hayden Planetarium, the Lincoln Center, and the New York Historical Society. Of course, you will also want to head on over to Central Park, located just three blocks away. There is cable television, a hairdryer, iron and ironing board in every room.

Great neighborhood friendly UWS hotel!

"My husband and our two kids stayed here in the summer of 2005. The location was great. We wanted to stay in a family friendly part of the city and close to the Museum of Natural History and this was the perfect place to do that. The hotel was super clean and very modern. The beds were some of the most comfortable we have ever slept in…really!! The one very cool thing about this hotel is the rooftop balcony that every guest can access. There were beautifully potted plants and flowers on it and many places to sit to take in the view. While staying there, we were the only ones who used it (not sure if others maybe didn’t know about it or what?) The concierge was very helpful with all questions. The walk the Museum of Natural History was only about ten minutes. If you are traveling with kids, there is a very cute neighborhood park just a few blocks away. The rooms were smaller but hey, that’s New York! Would stay here again. Oh, the price was pretty good too!!"
