"I went to this show 2 times in the past year. You get tickets by calling nbc studios at the right time when they are offering tickets. This is usually on monday at 10am, but it could also be on other days of the week. An operator will take your info and send you a confirmation email thst you have to bring to claim your tickets. On the day of the taping you have to pick up your tickets by 4:15pm, but you can get them as early as 3pm. When claiming your tickets you get wristbands and tickets with a number or letter on the back. Then you are free to wander around until 5pm when you have to line up on the second floor according to your number or letter. You go through metal dectors and then are taken up to the set and seated. When I went the audience got free t-shirts. A warm-up guy comes out, does some jokes and interacts with the audience. At the taping that I was at it was the guy that plays “Preperation H Raymond”. Conan comes out after the warm up guy and interacts with the audience as well. He will be more pale and taller than you expect. He usually coaxes an audience member to dance with him, hug another audience member, and hug max. Then max gives the audience member drum sticks. The taping lasts about an hour."
