"I was a visitor to New York before I became a resident, but because it's such a huge, dynamic place, I never fully appreciated this city until I moved here. Late last year, I found a web site - www.TailoredTours.com - that I wish had been around when I was just a tourist. The site offers dozens of self-guided tours for $3 each, tailored to interests like shopping, kids, nightlife, scavenger hunts and pub crawls. The tours are delivered instantly as email attachments - I print my tours out, but you can also use them on a PDA. So far, I've used the site to plan a last-minute date with the wife, get my in-laws out of the house for the day, and set up a bachelor party for my friend. If a New Yorker gets this much use out of a site intended for tourists, I can only imagine how it will enhance the experience for its intended audience. If you're coming to New York, take a minute to look over this site."
