No. Just.....no.

TheTripChick's rating:

"We had a hankering for Cuban food and knew that we wanted to avoid the touristy Times Square area, but didn't want to venture too far away from our hotel on 53rd. We kicked around the idea of Havana Central a few times over a couple of days but kept dismissing it because of the location. Fast forward to the last day of our trip. We had just finished a walking tour of Times Square from its beginnings and were hungry for lunch. We'd checked out of our hotel and didn't have much time before we needed to head for the airport. We knew where Havana Central was and decided to take a chance. We ordered the sandwich de Pavo (smoked turkey) and sandwich de pollo extraordinaire (grilled chicken). Both were, ultimately, food at its most basic level but beyond basic nourishment they really weren't much. No real flavor, very bland and pretty much what one would expect from a chain such as Applebee's. Needless to say, we were very disappointed."

Great Cuban food

komodokd's rating:

"I had a classic cuban sandwich served with sweet potato fries. Both were delicious, although the fries were greasier than normal french fries. I also had an appetizer: a shrimp/lobster blend on top of avacados. This is one of their specialities. It was also delicious. Prices are moderate with most entrees being between $10 – $20. It is a popular spot for happy hour since drinks are $4-$5."
