There is nothing upscale or snooty about this big, bi-level down-home eatery located in Times Square. Tourists and business crowds chow down on fairly authentic, old-fashioned barbecue favorites like pork ribs and Georgia Chicken-Fried Steak. The prices are not bad either, especially considering the massive portions served. While those looking for quiet conversation would be better off going elsewhere, it is ideal for rowdy groups looking to have a good time.

BBQ at its best

"This is one of my favorite places to go eat around the Times Square area. The prices are slightly higher than Dallas BBQ or Spanky’s BBQ (dinners are around $20), but it is worth it. The food tastes authentic and the portions are generous. Service was outstanding everytime I went there."

"Definitely the best BBQ north of the Mason-Dixon line. Every meal (and portion-size) aims to please. Definitely make reservations in advance – tables are hard to come by, especially during the pre-theater rush. Enjoy beef brisket, fried chicken, and any number of home foods that will delight the senses. Don’t be afraid to try their custom cocktails either. The June Bug is delicious and also potent. And, if you manage to save room for dessert, ask for their Chessman pie warmed. It’s sin on a plate. "
