"North Pole, NY is the home of Santa’s Workshop. If you have santa-believing kids or are just a big fan of Christmas, this place should be on your list of places to go. Village full of little shops- candy, Santa hats, gift shops, toy shops. Amusement rides are limited and for the little ones. Train ride. In the middle of the village, there is the “North Pole,” an actual pole of ice. It delights kids being that it is a solid pole of ice even in the dead heat of summer. Post office on site can arrange to have letter from Santa sent to your kiddo the next time the holiday rolls around. There are usually theatrical shows or puppet shows going on as well. Don’t miss the reindeer barn with actual reindeer!
