Beautiful lake-side town
"This is really such a cute town. We usually take a day trip out here a couple times a year. In the summer, the boat tour on Skaneateles Lake is nice. There are a lot of cute shops and boutiques around the lake selling cards, gifts, antiques, etc. There are a couple grassy knolls next to the lake inviting picnics or just laying out to read a good book or people watch. There is a small beach with lifeguard. Plenty of dining options from grabbing a casual sandwich and strolling down the street with an ice cream cone to award-winning gourmet food. In the winter time, Horse-drawn carriages and costumed carolers from the Dickens’ era stroll street corners around the holidays to create an olde time Christmas feel.
