"I guess you’ll see mixed reviews on this place. It’s a little grungy sometimes, but as a grad student living on a stipend, Peppers was a great alternative to chain pizza delivery. They have great sauce and a crust that I still crave sometimes. This is a great stop for a late night slice on Franklin Street."

"Peppers is a funky pizza place on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill. The pizza is good, decently priced, and Peppers is popular with students and younger locals. It gets crowded at lunch time, so you may have to wait a while in the non-existent wait area (you stand behind patrons seated at the counter) until a table is free. The quality of service fluctuates somewhat, depending on the eagerness of your server. The decor and atmosphere is very funky and youthful."
