Sick
I have non-refundable plane tickets to Vegas next week. Unfortunately, I also have a teensy weensy touch of pneumonia. I wonder if it's possible to have fun when you're too sick to leave your hotel room.

Here's how cheap I am: I'd rather save the money even if it means I'll only get to glimpse Vegas blurrily, through a film of mucas. Seriously. I only made the plans in the first place because there was a special on air fare that let me go down and back non-stop for a hundred bucks each way.

I'm right there with you (except I don't think I have pneumonia). I'm really not looking forward to flying with a stuffy nose.
That, too. But I so want to get out of here for a few days, I'm willing to risk my head exploding like a snot bomb from the pressure.

Another option you can use for a non-refundable ticket is to pay a $100 change fee to change the dates. It's a rip off but may be more worth it if you're really not feeling well.
