so-so accomodations--but great location

It's a short walk to the Union Station subway hub, which means it's easy to find your way there and back via subway from any attraction in Manhattan with relatively few transfers. The hotel itself is one of those with shared bathrooms and very tiny rooms that remind you of small train cars. It's cute and clean, the staff is pleasant, and I got a single room for a hundred dollars a night, which is a good price for Manhattan. Still the only reason I'm giving it one more star than I did the Chelsea Lodge is that the location is better.
