A Great Day Out

Hampton Court Palace was a wonderful place to visit. You can get an audio guide to help you understand the history associated with the castle, but the actors are the ones that bring the palace to life. They give tours of many of the royal apartments and entertain you while imparting what is was like to live in the palace during their respective times.

The gardens were beautiful, even in December, and the outdoor maze was a lot of fun, even if you only see the center and don’t actually find your way there.

The Royal School of Needlework is also headquartered here and there is a retail shop on-site. You can buy kits and finished needlework products.
