Location. The Silverstone Inn & Suites is located in the Amish area of Lancaster County in Lancaster, Penn. US-30 and Route 896 are one-half mile away. The American Music Theatre offers celebrity performances and Broadway musicals one-half mile away. Buggy rides past working Amish farms are available five miles from the inn at Aaron & Jessica’s Buggy Rides.
Features. Built in 1750, this Georgian style, limestone mansion is nestled on a 10-acre farm with sheep, a small-scale maple syrup production, a pond and a meandering stream. Complimentary full breakfasts are served each morning in the dining room. The inn’s signature dish is Dutch Crepes, consisting of rolled crepes stuffed with cinnamon sugar, maple syrup or honey and garnished with fresh herbs and edible flowers from the inn’s gardens. Access to a refrigerator, icemaker and microwave oven is available at the inn’s bar. The bar serves mainly juice and coffee, but serves alcoholic beverages during special events. Complimentary wireless Internet access and conference rooms are available. The inn’s living room showcases original art, American and European antiques, and an antique grandfather clock with Westminster chimes. Two sets of French doors open onto a covered porch and the side yard. Guests are welcome to collect hazelnuts and walnuts at the property, and bring them home. Pets are not allowed at the property.

Guestrooms. Silverstone Inn & Suites offers eight guestrooms with cable television, DVD players and complimentary wireless Internet access. All units include private bathrooms with marble tiling, and select bathrooms offer jetted tubs. Select rooms offer mini-bars. Accommodations showcase hardwood floors, wingback chairs and antiques. Select rooms feature views of the walnut or sugar maple groves, or the front gardens. Rooms are individually air conditioned and heated.

Expert Tip. William Penn issued the land grant to the father of the home’s builder. The first homestead on the property was the two-story springhouse, which contains the origin of the Willow Run Stream in its lower section.
