The Philadelphia Sofitel is located in the heart of downtown, where guests are within easy walking distance to Philadelphia’s most popular and historic attractions. This hotel is a short distance from Betsy Ross House, Independence Hall, Avenue of the Arts, and the Museum district. The Sofitel Philadelphia was once the old Philadelphia Stock Exchange and features design and décor that reflect its past. Beautiful marble and granite floors that were designed to resemble a Shaker quilt and lead to the blue-granite reception desk. Such details are a precursor to the Shaker traditions reflected throughout the hotel’s interior. Soothing neutral shades with cherry woods complete the accents. The guest rooms reflect a European style with the lastest amenities to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel’s restaurant, Chez Colette, is located on the premises, and delights the palate with French brasserie-style cuisine and equally elegant Continental service. Additionally, guests can sip cocktails in the lounge, which features live entertainment. Comfortable facilities and convenience are qualities that you will come to expect as a guest of the Philadelphia Sofitel. The staff is at your service from the moment you arrive, catering to your every need. Come experience the luxury that awaits you at this wonderful property.

Not cheap, but well worth the extra dollars!

Smokey's rating:

"WOW! This is an excellent hotel located near Center City. Was a little pricey at $185/night as I prefer something a little less expensive, but well worth it! Large lobby, warm and welcoming staff, well appointed rooms that are modern and clean. Totally loved the bathroom as it was large and spacious with tiled floor and shower. The bed was the big thing though. Slept extremely well on this soft bed with a soft down comforter and an warm down mattress topper! If nothing else, go for one night just to get an awesome sleep! Would definately be staying here the next time I'm in Philly!"

Awesome hotel

"Fantastic and hip hotel. VERY nice decor and one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. Beautiful bathrooms, huge closet, the whole deal. Location cannot be beat either. Worth the little bit of extra money, which isn't always the case."
