Summary of Dirty Franks
Even though there is no sign announcing its presence, you can’t miss Dirty Frank’s, even if you try. Located on the corner of 13th and Pine, the bar’s facade has been painted with a mural of famous Franks past – Purdue, Sinatra, Zappa and more. Dirty Frank’s is perfectly situated for late night stumbling; the neighborhood is safe and well-lit. Once inside you’ll find yourself torn between repulsion at the smoke-thick air and ripped up bar seats and love for the diverse and friendly regulars. The people are real, and the beer? Real cheap. Yuengling is the brew of choice, served by the pitcher or mug at prices you won’t find pretty much anywhere else on earth. The scene at Dirty Frank’s is anything but “scene-y” – there’s nothing pretentious or contrived about this place. Instead, Dirty Franks is fast, cheap and out of control – just the way Philly likes it.
