Security procedures make you question liberty

Reviewed by fosterbk on February 20, 2007

fosterbk's rating:

"We made a point to stop at the Liberty Bell this weekend so that my daughter could see it for the first time. Little did we know that we would wait 45 minutes in the cold outside the security structure, then have to take off our coats in the sub-freezing weather. I understand the need to keep the bell safe, but there was no warning and no real shelter from the elements. It was hard to enjoy the freedom the bell represents after that experience."

"An easy stop on your self-guided Independance tour. Great piece of American history. The bell is out in the open and easy to view."
