Museum of Science and Industry
A museum we both liked
We don’t always agree on museums (I really enjoy art museums, Dale leans toward history museums), but we both enjoyed the Museum of Science and Industry. We’ve both been paying closer attention to our hearts lately, so we spent some time in the Walk-Through Heart exhibit. The Body Slices exhibit was interesting, also, though I’m glad we didn’t stop here right after breakfast, because it made him a little squeamish. I don’t often say this, but I’m glad the grandkids weren’t with us, because it would’ve been nearly impossible to get them away from the Out to Lunch exhibit, which is a colletion of toys from fast food restaurants. One of my uncles was a coal miner in southern Illinois, so I was intrigued by the Coal Mine exhibit, which simulates going down into a mine. It was just a simulation, but it made me grateful I spent my career in safe, clean classrooms.
