I just saw that a favorite restaurant here in Springfield has gone out of business. It was called the Tropical Breezes Cafe. We joked because the "tropical breeze" turned out to be an oscillating fan on the counter.
It was near our house and we passed it twice a day for a year before trying it. It was a locally-owned place, of questionable appearance. It was in a strip center. On top of that...

Big family reunion on the Lewis side. Haven't seen these cousins since I was a wee boy. My mom spent a year organizing this thing. She assigned a different color code for each family of her 6 siblings and hand-decorated 91 nametags. I am expected to be major-domo to my cousins at all the Waco attractions, some of which I've never seen.
