Fine Foodie Heaven - Off the strip, off the strip prices!!

I know....it's Vegas and the big names abound in dining choices, but here is a restaurant well off the strip that is well worth the trip if you are a foodie!

My husband and I enjoy gourmet food and fabulous wine. We had heard wonderful things about this restaurant on a website called chowhounds.com. It's foodie reviews for cities all over the country. And although foodies will spend the big bucks on excellent top name restaurants, there is nothing more we relish than finding fine food for excellent value.

Rosemary's fits the bill! It's been 2 years since we have gone, and I can't tell you exactly what we had, but I can tell you that the food and wine equalled the big ticket restaurants downtown; bill for four of us, including two higher end bottles of wine, was almost half of what it would have been had we stayed on the strip. Even when adding in the cab fare! We are picky, with high expectations and were extremely pleased, and will eat there anytime we visit Vegas.

It's a small, cozy, friendly restaurant in a strip mall, about 15 min. cab ride from the Vegas Strip. It is nice to get away from all the glitz and neon, and enjoy a first class restaurant without the sensory overload. The waitstaff are friendly and knowledgeable, the kitchen creative and well trained. I remember all of raving about the courses, even if I can't remember exactly what we had, and deciding that this was a keeper in our book.

When we go again in September, I'll update with another review. I just can't believe this restaurant hasn't been reviewed yet...it's stellar.
